Why Organizations Struggle to Digitally Transform

According to a study by McKinsey, about 70% of digital transformation projects fail.

March 22, 2022

Digital transformation is becoming more and more prominent in organizations, and it is said to be one of the critical initiatives in 2022. However, according to Nintex, most organizations struggle to transform digitally for three reasons.

Those three reasons are:

1. Lack of Alignment on automation goals:

70% of organizations have less than 20% of their process automated.

2. Lack of Resources to meet demands of the business

90% of companies will be affected by IT skill shortages by 2025.

3. Lack of Capability in current tools or systems

80% of legacy technologies are preventing digital transformation.

If you are going to transform digitally, it's better to think carefully about how you will do it and how quickly because the world just got a lot more competitive overnight. But, of course, having a competitive advantage is not the only reason organizations transform digitally; they should also consider digital transformation to improve the quality and efficiency of production and experiences for their customers and employees.
