5 Key Technologies of Hyperautomation

Hyperautomation has been identified by Gartner as one of the year's top strategic technology trends.

Identified by Gartner as one of the year's top strategic technology trends, Hyperautomation; is the use of multiple automation technologies to streamline business processes inorganizations. Often you will see Hyperautomation and Intelligent Automation used interchangeably.

When it comes to Hyperautomation there are five major technologies that make this infrastructure.

They are:

  1. Intelligent Capture

Intelligent Capture is the process of identifying and extracting vital content from incoming documents without ample guidance from an employee. Capture follows a clear set of rules outlined by the enterprise to handle the documents and their content. Many enterprises use intelligent capture to fully digitize their enterprise by eliminating long data entry processes.

  1. Low-code Application Platforms

Low code platforms allow easy and consistent design, configuration, and deployment of business applications that have sophisticated forms, connections into Line of Business Systems, and complex rules for managing an operational process. One of the advantages of low-code platforms is that they are quick to deploy and easy to maintain and manage. Some of the basic applications can be built by citizen deployers which empower the business departments to create automation with limited IT involvement.

  1. Robotic Process Automation

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is quickly becoming as ubiquitous to the enterprise as Microsoft Excel. Soon most enterprises, small or large, will have the ability to build their software robots to automate the most mundane and repetitive tasks. RPA is often used for high volume, low complexity scenarios, and they can be seamlessly integrated into more complex business applications.

Using RPA, you can integrate through the front-end into SAP, Oracle, ServiceNow, Salesforce… any enterprise system by emulating a user rather than having to build API integration and involving enterprise engineers in the process.

  1. Digital Signature

Digital Signature authenticates documents through reviews and approvals to ensure signatures are secure, accurate, and digital. This type of technology also ensures proper storage and document lifecycle retention rules are upheld.

  1. Document Lifecycle Management and Collaboration

No matter what business process you are operating there are documents and meta-data about each process that will need to be stored. This is where Document Lifecycle Management and Collaboration come into play. After each document is stored, the document can be tracked and collaborated on throughout the document's life. This technology ensures that it will be handled appropriately, especially when it comes to the compliance rules for each type of data.
